Buy bread with higher fat content and it will stale less rapidly. Switch from French bread to brioche.

Airtight containers. I just usually keep them in sealed plastic bags and the bread stays fresh longer.

You're not supposed to keep French bread for more than a day. At that point it's only good for French toast. Otherwise freeze it when it's fresh, then you can eat it later by unfreezing it in the oven.
