Trump has lost working man. I use my coworker as a barometer for these sort of things, he's kind of a wild card politically but votes republican and was very pro trump.
But now he's saying stuff like "I don't know about this tarriff stuff" when people ask his opinion. Wondering why the economy hasn't improved yet and saying that you gotta disconnected from poltics because it rots your brain.
He's kind of coped a little bit by saying that he's heard Trump is trying to crash the market on purpose to bring down interet rates and housing, but he seems doubtful of that even.

I was in a country bar deep in the backwoods of appalachia inside a red county and I overheard a group of coal miners talking about how cruel it was that drumpf was deporting immigrants to el salvador and how defunding usaid was gonna set lgbtq+ back 100 years for the rest of the world. At the end of their passionate conversation the entire bar stood up and shouted BLACK TRANS LIVES MATTER before kneeling and lowering our heads.

I have a friend like that, a real go-getter for Trump, recently waivering. It's okay. You only need to remind him "Trump won", matter of fact, then you can watch as the recovery actually remolds his features from those of a sad self-obsessed communist back into those the confident friend you knew.
