Peter Magyar, the leader of the newly formed Respect and Freedom party (TISZA) gathered a massive crowd to the Andrássy Avenue today.
The protestors took the avenue from the Bajcsy Zsilinszky út until the Oktogon, filling the whole square.
this area is bigger than 30.000m2, so we can estimate about 50.000-100.000 attendees.
The online views of the event peaked at about 150.000 viewers, if you combine the major youtube channels and Magyar's Facebook live.
Some of the promises he made:
>We will immediately join the European Public Prosecutor's Office.
>There will be zero tolerance for all forms of corruption.
>An anti-corruption prosecutor's office will be established and a special NAV(tax and customs office)investigation team will be set up.
>The punishment for perpetrators of corruption crimes will be doubled and the possibility of conditional release will be excluded.
>The independence of the judiciary will be restored, and the authorities will have a new leadership.
>All crimes involving public funds will be subject to complete confiscation of assets.
>Asset investigation for the last 20 years will be launched for politicians and their family members, and their asset declarations will be made public for 5 years.
"It's over, comrades! Tovarisi, konyec!" - declared Péter Magyar
He has called Orbán out for being Putin's lapdog and also mentioned some of their plans on the budget.

I bet if Magyar wins most of Orbans oligarchy will not be persecuted at all kek.
I rather hope that Magyar wins, so that we can get rid of Orban and maybe have better voting system where the share of votes and seats won are reasonable close, so voting rules that do not force us into a 2 party system.
also Magyar would probably remove Orbans terrible economic policies that only enrich foreign investors and the 1%.
he is not a leftist so I dont expect much, but maybe a Poland tier social net is possible in Hungary too.

Judiciary must be subjected. We have seen them causing problems in many countries across the globe, America is still the only totally functioning democracy because their judiciary is subject to the political power (they are voted and submit to the congress).
Independent judiciary doesn't exist, unless you have a totally fair and unpersonal way to compose it, it will naturally build up to the most brainwashed and groupthinking biased prople, which are liberals, they will free gypsies and niggers and destroy everything in a few years.

Do you agree with introducing a pensioner leisure card worth a maximum of 500EUR per year, which can be spent on food, medicine and health care?
Do you agree with reducing the VAT rate on medicines to 0 percent?
Do you agree with not allowing the state to spend budget resources on supporting private healthcare investments and providing at least 1.3 billion EUR of extra resources annually for the development of the state healthcare system?
Do you agree with spending the recovered national wealth on education, healthcare and rural development?
Do you agree with limiting the VAT rate on healthy foods to a maximum of 5 percent?
Do you agree that the personal income tax should be reduced uniformly to 9 percent?
Do you agree that the KATA form of taxation should be reintroduced in the previous areas?
(a fix rate simple taxation form for sole proprietors)
Do you agree that an extra tax obligation should be imposed on assets above 12 million euros?
Do you agree that Hungary should remain a member of the European Union and NATO?
Do you agree that a prime minister should be able to hold office for two terms, a maximum of 8 years?
Do you agree that local governments should get back their powers, institutions and resources in the fields of education, healthcare and social services?
Do you agree that the prime minister's salary should be a maximum of 6000€ and that the income of members of parliament should be reduced by half?
I see a mild social democratic program getting proposed here.

No. 25653441
BUDAPEST, March 15 (Reuters) - Tens of thousands rallied in Budapest against Prime Minister Viktor Orban on Saturday, waving the national flag as the leader of the surging opposition Tisza party pledged to make Hungary part of a strong Europe and end Orban's 15-year rule.
Peter Magyar, a former government insider, launched his movement a year ago, and his Tisza party - named after Hungary's second biggest river - leads Orban's Fidesz in most polls, a year before elections in 2026 and as the economy struggles.
The Reuters Daily Briefing newsletter provides all the news you need to start your day. Sign up here.
Earlier on Saturday, Orban, who has repeatedly clashed with the EU over policies that critics say eroded democracy in Hungary, pledged to crack down on politicians and journalists who receive foreign funding and again ruled out EU membership for Ukraine, stepping up his campaign for the elections.
More than 50,000 of his opponents braved cold, drizzly weather to rally in Budapest, shouting "filthy Fidesz" and "the Tisza is flooding."
"Those who cheat on their own nation should end up in the dustbin of history," Magyar told the crowd. "Our time has come." He said Tisza would launch a popular survey on 12 key economic and political issues to hear the "voice of the nation".
Speaking at a rally on Hungary's national day, Orban said it was time to eliminate what he called a "shadow army" of NGOs, journalists, judges and politicians paid from the United States and Brussels, referring to his plans to crack down on NGOs and media who received funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) and billionaire George Soros.
"After today's celebrations, comes the big Easter cleaning up as the bugs have survived the winter," Orban said. "We will eliminate the whole shadow army."
U.S. President Donald Trump's decision to dismantle USAID has emboldened his ally Orban.
Last month he said Hungary would draft legislation to protect national sovereignty and would uncover foreign funding to Hungarian media and what he called quasi-NGOs.
This week his Fidesz party submitted constitutional changes that would permit the expulsion of dual citizens deemed to pose a threat to Hungary's sovereignty.
