A while ago, some Bernds discovered they would be in Tokyo at the same time and decided they would meet for drinks. Somehow we've managed to convince a local Bernd to come as well who agreed to set us up with gfs in a not-so-touristy spot. Since many Bernds on /int/ seem to visit Japan these days, if you happen to be in the area, consider yourself invited. Just leave some method of contact in the thread or send me an email to [email protected]. Maybe I'll do some IWO here as well.

JR do a Kanto area rail pass quite cheaply, although Japanese trains are cheap by. For example, Kawagoe, Chichibu, Nikko, Kamakura/Enoshima are all places I'd recommend by train

Also if you want a fun thing to do for an hour that's free go to West side of Shinjuku and the Tokyo Metropolitan government building observation deck, it's very high up and free admission, there is a cafe up there as well.
