Post strange, uncanny or any art from any century. Thank. 1. Werewolf imagery from Prodigiorvm ac ostentorvm chronicon, 1557 2. Towns herold of the city of Ansbach Germany depicted in 1685 that was terrorized by a werewolf. When the townspeople discovered the creature's true identity, they felt betrayed... The creature turned out to be the mayor of Ansbach himself, whom everyone had thought had died a few weeks earlier. After killing the wolf, they dressed it in the mayor's clothes and hanged it by the neck. 3. "Wounded Man" 14th century 4. Ecclesiastical headhunter in consecrated armor 1620

I remember seeing this painting in Ancient Aliens and how the Bubonic Plague was an alien death pathogen and used this painting for reference of how an alien would look like.

Lot becoming a pillar of salt and daphne transforming into a tree. The latter was a stupid choice as now she would never move again, was transforming into a tree just to escape a very persistent simp worth it?

Albrecht Dürer >In 1525, during the night between Wednesday and Thursday after Whitsuntide, I had this vision in my sleep, and saw how many great waters fell from heaven. The first struck the ground about four miles away from me with such a terrible force, enormous noise and splashing that it drowned the entire countryside. I was so greatly shocked at this that I awoke before the cloudburst. And the ensuing downpour was huge. Some of the waters fell some distance away and some close by. And they came from such a height that they seemed to fall at an equally slow pace. But the very first water that hit the ground so suddenly had fallen at such velocity, and was accompanied by wind and roaring so frightening, that when I awoke my whole body trembled and I could not recover for a long time. When I arose in the morning, I painted the above as I had seen it. May the Lord turn all things to the best.

>>25634010 Yes, I typoed that shit. But the message is the same. It would be a very grim fate to become a salt pillar just because you had curiosity of seeing your formee home being literally nuked.

I like mythological animal-beast art. It's quite interesting which bits remain human.
