Onions on Alexander von Humboldt? He seethed when he visited Thomas Jefferson's home and saw many slaves, claiming all humans come from a common origin and that all races are worthy of freedom. I will say he travelled more than many of us will do in our lifetimes and he was a brilliant scientist overall.

Apparently Jefferson was a bitch. Were this soy redditing near Jackson that'd be the end of his story

I think it's hilarius that it was still possible in 19th century to travel around the world and discover a ton of species and places that nobody knew about. Anyways, in Germany he is mostly viewed as the weird bother of the more famous Wilhelm von Humboldt.

Out of Africa theory is still a theory, there also skeletons even older than what they found in Africa considered 'anatomically human', it really depends on what you believe. There is however very old literature ascertaining to human beings originating in the Middle East, so perhaps, that is might be worth considering?

Personally I don't agree with slavery but I don't think humans are free whatsoever in any way either, either to a slaveholder, a corporation, or the State, or to God or Nature, or whatever other constraint or entity.

>>25627755 It just isn't. Homo sapiens sapiens are known to have emerged in Ethiopia approximately 200k years ago. The oldest known skeleton of this subspecies was found there. Every other anatomically modern human skeleton or remains you have ever heard of which is older are not homo sapiens sapiens which is what we are. They may be homo sapiens neanderthals or denisovans or something else. It's simply not a preference of belief. You have to invent a fiction to believe in to think that our current subspecies emerged from a location that isn't Ethiopia or central-eastern Africa.

>>25627817 Anyone can post "evidence", what matters is if it means something, if it can be proved 100%. Archaeology and anthropology is still very much guesswork, they don't have much evidence. I remember being told that all the bones of super ancient remains are very limited. There's really not much to go on.
