Had one removed a year ago. It was pretty easily I was waiting for anesthesia like 10 minutes and then dude just extracted the tooth for a 10-20 second. Paid 25€ for all.

It was a bloodbath, the female dentist wasn't strong enough to pull it out and took so long that the local anestetic started to wear off. I cannot recommend the procedure. If it has to be, go to a man.

Yes, all four at once. It went okay (I think I had full anesthesia?) except for some gauze that stayed in the wound, of which I could feel a couple of threads, and which smelled really bad as it rotted. Dogtor said there is nothing. Fortunately, it either came out by itself or was removed at a follow-up check two weeks later or so.

>>25625708 Additional information: me mum is usually quite goncerned about health issues, so we drove 30 km to a supposedly good dogtor. There were indeed no complications except for the rotting gauze.

One so far. Went pretty fast. 1/4 of the tooth was rotten but the dentist managed to pull it out in one go. Wasn't too bad with local anesthetic. But when it wore off... dog this was excruciating. I almost fainted from the pain. Being a former addict I didn't take an pain medication besides low doses of ibuprofen.

Yes, one. Problems weren't. A little bit of pain for 1 day, but not so much that painkillers would be needed. I was told that cooling your cheek helps against swelling / pain and it seemed to work because I had none. The worst part was imagining what the dentist was doing in my mouth, there was no pain but it was still an uncomfortable feeling.

My dentist was a barbarian. My mom went to a discount dentist when I was 16 and paid him for all four teeth to be removed. He broke my wisdom teeth with a chisel and extracted the pieces. He left a huge chunk and went digging around in my gums for 10 minutes trying to get it out, but the pliars kept slipping. I was awake for the whole thing with just local anesthetic. It was agonizing, and he was yelling at me to hold still the whole time. He also only extracted three since the last one was impacted and he couldn't handle that. So I still have one that tears through my gum ever so often and causes an infection.

I got one removed in 2004, pain suddenly began it feels horrible. Last year I got removed 2 more because they were getting rot & causing throat infection. My dentist is mega based, he removed both teeth with no pain and no swollen after it.
Bernd Thu, 13 Mar 2025 00:40:25 GMT No. 25626180
I made a thread in January about having all 4 of mine removed. The procedure went fine. I want more or less back to normal after 12 days. But I kind of regret it. The initial problem with my wisdom teeth was that food would get stuck in the gum pockets around them. Now, food gets stuck in the area left after the wisdom teeth were removed. It's easier to rinse out and doesn't cause inflammation like it did with my wisdom teeth.

Dentists love to pull wisdom teeth for no good reason, it's easy money for them. Most of the work dentists do is fiddly detail oriented work like drilling deep root canals all day long, etc. Pulling wisdom teeth is a crude, brutal job. You just jank them out. And you get to charge a lot of money for it. When I was young, a dentists asked if my wisdom teeth had been removed, and I said no, I still have them all. He did an X-ray and found one wisdom teeth was perfectly sideways, 90 degrees turned, and entirely covered by gums. It looked like it wasn't even there. I asked him if this is an issue, and he said "if you have no pain or complaints, wisdom teeth is never an issue". Years later, and a few dentists later, many told me to remove wisdom teeth, but i always declined. Now I'm 38 and I still have all 4 and never had any issues. If dentist tells you wisdom teeth need to be removed despite you having no issues, tell them to fuck off or get 2nd opinion at least.
