I often ask myself that question. Not specifically about Helsinki, of course, but Italy. I still think I'll spend my life here in Brazil. Being middle/upper-class just gives you too many benefits in all areas of life, specially when it comes to going to nice places, making friends, and finding a girlfriend. If not for this, I'd move to Italy without hesitation. If I ever do so, it will have to be for some kind of academic position, even if just as a high school teacher or something of the sort. It has to be "respectable", otherwise you'll be treated like trash and feel like trash.
