I went back recently. I installed Skyrim on my Linux (via Lutris). The game runs flawlessly. Only to install mods, I need to copy the nxm:// link from the Linux web browser and paste it to the Vortex mod manager running in Wine. The game itself is only lightly modded with fixes, no gameplay or graphics mods, but I installed a bunch of quest mods for more content. You can call gameplay and story aspects of Skyrim shit but the game is successfully carried by the beauty of its environment and its music. It's so heckin' beautiful and cozy sometimes. Like the last time I climbed a mountain for treasure, and it was snowy, that itself looked cool. Then the snow stopped and the sun came out. As I descended the sunset revealed itself. It was incredible.

>>25616612 thanks for encouraging trying to run this shit with linux some time >Only to install mods, I need to copy the nxm:// link from the Linux web browser and paste it to the Vortex mod manager running in Wine. uhh, i hate managing mods for skyrim perhaps it has improved since the old days if you fugged something with mod installs, basically had to start new game because some smarthead decided to embed the scripts as objects in save file

>>25615109 I'd be so busy thatching, firing earthenware for winter stores, and maintaining fire and hunting that there would hardly be enough time to fuck each of my wives. Probably I'd just want to go on vacation to a warm beach.

I remember. 2013. I got my computer back after saving some money, played cs, runescape. Then Started Skyrim first time. It was winter, i stayed up all night always and slept during the day, never seen any light, only skyrim at night, also remember being in a tavern in skyrim and drinking beers in my room at night, no my own music, nothing, Just skyrim. Good days.
