Xiaomi is no longer a budget brand with good support. Its clunky and they've removed a lot of worthwhile additions to their low range. Other chink brands are worth considering over xiaomi.

This is what Oppo came with. Another pidorussian law that requires manufacturers to add pidorussian "apps" to every selling phone here. Actually, those are just links to download the app, so they don't fill up the memory, but I couldn't remove them either. Maybe it's possible with ADB, I just threw them into a folder and forgot. There's no bootloader unlock, no recovery and no root. Feels like I'm using a gayphone since some basic tasks are impossible. However as a coincidence, I bought this phone at the time I stopped studying and went working, so I don't have time to masturbate around phone internals like years ago, so it's somewhat bearable. Eh. I mean it's ok I guess, especially on the current phone market. If you search for oppo (or any other phone from bbk corpo, such as vivo, oneplus, realme, iqoo), you should know that they have a practice of shitting out a hundred models every year, and their latest phones sometimes worse than previous one, like in every aspect. So don't expect the last to be the best.

Maybe they fixed it now. They also do stuff that other brands would get absolutely shat on, for example their xperia 10 vi with 60Hz display in 2024. I have the Xiaomi 12S Ultra. At the time, it was a great PROMISE of a revolution in camera technology, with a partnership with Leica and the first 1" camera sensor. In terms of hardware, it's an incredible phone. In terms of software, it's a complete shit, full of adware and a camera that's poorly optimized for the technology. I don't know if it continue like this with new models. If you like Android (like me, I hate Apple for its lack of customization options), I would go Samsung Ultra. If you want to venture/risk into the world of Chinese phones, get the Huawei Pura 70 Ultra, at least DXOMARK says it has the best camera on the market.
