I have small coolant leak from under EGR seal. I already changed sealant once two months ago, and mechanic said to get back if it leaks. But I am too lazy to go to him again. What do you think about pouring a bit of this thing into coolant and maybe it will seal the leak?

That's to plug holes in the radiator where the temperatures don't go above 150C. If your EGR leaks into exhaust ports (you should see white smoke), it can be 900C there no chemical shit will be able to withstand.

>>25604287 I think it can seal everything from inside, where coolant temperature is smaller than 150C. Mostly I believe it leaks outside, not into the engine definitely. But maybe some go back into combustion chamber with recirculated exhaust. I have this issue for 2 years, but just too lazy to fix, and it seems my mechanic also failed to fix it from first attempt.

>>25604344 It is dynamic regulation of combustion chamber volume. You put more exhaust into the engine -> you can put less air into it -> you can put less fuel into it. And this works when you don't need huge power output (when you maintain constant speed). If you need to speedup you need more of combustion volume and EGR valve closes, using chamber fully.

>>25604331 no? the fuck are you inventing EGR exist because green retards want less co2 in climate. It literally recirculates gases into cylinders to be used again Its fucking retarded because it slowly destroys components of engine with sooth buildup. If you delete that this you get fresh air every time and you get better performance out of engine and it lasts a lot longer.

And this works when you don't need huge power output (when you maintain constant speed). Again, you can do that just by stuffing a sock into the intake if you love artificially restricting airflow that much. Normal people do that by using throttle - pressing the gas pedal lighter. There's literally zero need or positive effects from directing dirty exhaust into the intake.

It will not be dynamic. If press pedal completely the engine will be restricted still. With EGR you get restriction only when full combustion volume is not needed. >There's literally zero need or positive effects from directing dirty exhaust into the intake. Exhaust gas is inert for combustion, so you just put a bit of it into combustion and you get reduction of volume.
