It’s a fair gripe! Punching in log(8) / log(2) to get
log
2
(
8
)
=
3
log
2
(8)=3 takes more keystrokes than feels necessary. It’s not intuitive unless you’re comfy with logarithm properties, and it’s prone to errors if you misplace a parenthesis. A dedicated "log_b" button or syntax would streamline it, no question.

sure but you have to understand that that's a high school level calculator. there's no reason for it to have a log_b button since it would increase the price and thus decrease profits.
just get yourself a numworks, it works great, its french, and its significantly cheaper than any TI calculator. it is made in china but who cares

yay :DDDDD
anyways, what kind of math are you doing that requires you to use log_b frequently? i've barely used it in my life, log10 and ln (natural logarithm) are the only ones i've needed in my college math studies

i don't see how they're that great if you're looking for precise results, calculators and digital calculator simulators work best if you need an exact value instead of getting an output like 2+2=4.000000000001
unless i'm misunderstanding something
