There was an american remake which also had Jean Reno, and the actress who played Kelly Bundy, ah, Christina Applegate as I recall. The French version was better that time.

Yes, the American remake was not good, the 2nd French film was decent, the 3rd was shit.
The 1st is really good, especially at the time it was done. 1993 if I remember.

Since when is The Rules of the Game a comedy?
Anyway, here are some of my favorites.
I knew some of the Marx Brothers films almost by heart as a teenager.
>>25598278
Watched it a few months ago. Loved it. Maybe you'll enjoy Sylvia Scarlett.

Now for some lesser known ones by directors not typically associated with the genre.
Although they are not exactly comedy films, I smiled a lot watching Godard's Weekend and King Lear.
I also found Polanski's Che? to be very funny.
Hitchcock's The Trouble With Harry is far from being his best film, but it's nevertheless interesting to see how his style transfers to the comic genre. And it's a nice, family friendly little film.

when Leslie Nielson was going back to his car and it started rolling suddenly because it was parked at a very inclined street and he thought that its being carjacked and started blasting it with his revolver it was the funniest scene i have ever seen in any entertainment in my 38 years of life
