If I got rich and built a house I would make it gigatrad. I don’t even care if autusts would squeal about it looking phony, I would consult trad architects and make it as authentic as possible.

First one looks quite off. Why is the white house wearing an onyx black hat? Second one looks more genuine.

Disgusting. It'd be made of cheap garbage and you know it. If I got rich (70k usd), I'd buy some land and make a small circular cob house, an outhouse and a tiny wooden sauna. That's wealth to me not garbage like yours.

>>25585457 If you have money to spend you're actually in a great place to build a good home and not just a McMansion, the uni of Notre Dame has what is perhaps the main pre-modern architecture program on the planet, people from all over the world go study there if they want to do anything different from modernism and that encompasses a million different styles, not just larping as the white house or whatever ignorant idiots think of when they hear ""trad""
Bernd Fri, 07 Mar 2025 13:48:57 GMT No. 25585565
You’d build a McMansion

I would buy a high-rise apartment. I need the views. Living close to ground, it suffocates me.

Why are retards like this? They don't know shit about architecture, but they're like let me just slap these columns and use these useless ugly ornaments that shouldn't be there.

A gothic inspired manor house would be nice. So many modern highend houses are too focused on open floor plans, white everywhere, and zero adornment or craftsmen/artisan flair.

I'd build a colonial-style house. There are not many left in my hometown.

>>25585512 lol no. I know a neighborhood "full" of houses like that, "full" due to the fact that the yards ensure each house is a mile apart. Only the very wealthy can afford to live like that, and they're usually out of the house to make the money it takes to own it. >>25585582 When you give as rat's ass as to what others think of your tastes you become a slave to their tastes. >>25590387 idk about average house. maybe. that style of house was very popular in the 1950s through the early 1970s, when there was a lot of post-war home construction. In any suburb near a major US city (basically "inner ring suburbs") there are tons of them, particularly in the midwest. houses like the 2nd one in the OP's were usually built up until the 1920s and are found in the central areas of a lot of US cities
