I made hirkum pirkum with it a couple times in previous years, as the vodka is supposed to preserve the hypericin, where drying of the plant material, if done in sunlight, degrades 80 percent of hypericin and then exposure to heat degrades it even further. Having said that though, i'm interested to hear you speak of the tea having a distinct taste, because I really loved the fruity flowery herbal taste of hirkum pirkum. I'll have to pick some this year to try as tea, just for the flavor if not anything else as you said
