The entire modern English language has assumptions about its letter shapes btw.
There is the T-shirt, V-neck, T-junction, I-beam, H-bar, A-frame, U-turn, Z-line, O-ring, L-bracket, S-hook, C-clamp. They only make sense if viewed in using an antiqua font.
Sometimes you go even further and use the spelling of the pronunciation of the letter like the Linux command "tee" which derives it's name from the T-junction.
