Silicon Valley started with science investments in the Apollo program around Stanford and Berkeley. Then there's this whole support infrastructure with venture capital and a mentality of taking risks that fostered start-up culture. California hippies LSD dreams, American Dream, Manifest Destiny. The visas that attract skilled labour. We never had any of this, most countries don't, in fact most of the US has not either.

>>25538653 You have tons of entrepreneurs in Europe who only get punished and attacked by socialist parties. Germany has horrible incentives if you want to work hard. Some people who don't work at all make literally get the same income as low tier wagies.

>>25538681 Once USA ends taxes on overtime, US tech companies will double in productivity. Especially if it's remote work in IT. Little thing like ending taxes on overtime might change course of industry.

a lot of these companies rely on the good will of people worldwide to play along, maybe now with Trump wrecking havoc people will start to think about alternatives
