I have a similiar amount of files. Whenever I try to sort and organize them I get the sudden sensation of terrible dread, that I'm wasting my life. So they never get sorted.

I lost my folders several times since I started on imageboards. You can get used to building a new collection every few years.

I have a local image search set up, something like https://github.com/Troyanovsky/llama-vision-image-tagger but from a year ago I knobbled together in python. It initially requres almost a full day to generate embeddings for hundreds of thousands of pictures but the search is instant. Mine is not tagging images but good enough to search them. Only thing I havent found yet is some way to combine this with recognition of individual faces. Its fine to use it on IB images as is, but for personal photo archive I'd like to search for photos of a particular individual and while technically possible I havent found an easy way to teach AI to recognize particular individuals, especially as they age or using context from same location where the face isnt visible (e.g. find photo of a groom at a wedding from the back, where the same groom is present at a dozen other photos from the same location at the same date). Currently big corp services, like Google's, do offer searching photo collection by a person, but it has four different versions of my grandpa it recognizes as different people.

Similar settis but also with anime pictures. Someone needs to crate an AI app that can sort out pictures by similarity, imagine you just feed it a Pepe picture and proceeds to identify all of them in your folder allowing you to select them with a single click and move them to a new folder.
