guess where this is sampled from
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:04:35 GMT No. 25542137 >>25542140
>>25542017 Well its unforgivably bad. As far as the sample, do you mean the main melody line? Because its sounds generic enough for them to generate themselves, or was there something I missed?
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:04:58 GMT No. 25542140 >>25542150
>>25542137 no. it's amaranth by nightwish a very good song
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:06:05 GMT No. 25542150 >>25542169 >>25542189
>>25542140 I mean it could be, but they sampled a short melody line for that abomination likely not indicative of the source work.
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:08:32 GMT No. 25542169 >>25542280
>>25542150 nah its definitely ripped off amaranth is a good song

end emo music is kinda based if you think about it
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:10:51 GMT No. 25542189 >>25542280
>>25542150 I meant the source material could be a good song. I wasn't doubting the veracity of your claim. Also its not so much a ripoff if you only use something that brief without lifting anymore major things. Sampling becomes ripoffs when you basically keep all the important hooks and use them to boost your product, like Eminem "Lose Yourself" or Puff Daddy "I'll Be Missing You"

any power/thrash enjoyers here?
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:21:14 GMT No. 25542280 >>25542304
>>25542189 also meant for >>25542169 A good example would be "Steal My Sunshine," which is based largely around the breaks in "More, More More," but with a distinct enough song body, nobody could accuse them of ripping it off.
Bernd Sat, 01 Mar 2025 21:23:59 GMT No. 25542304
>>25542280 An example of sampling being a positive, of course. It works here because the artist used the sample as an instrument and not a framework.
