Will never happen. There are enough fossil hydrocarbons underground to burn all the oxygen in the atmosphere. Only problem is that most of it is in the form of kerogen (solid rock, but not as energy rich as coal or oil) so its not as economically viable. Kerogen contains just about enough carbon to bind all the available oxygen, but then it also contains hydrogen and other burnable stuff as well so the oxygen will be exhausted first.
