It's soulful, cozy and nice. It snowed yesterday, but then it turned into rain and it all fucking melted away...
Bernd Sat, 22 Feb 2025 05:29:17 GMT No. 25492405
Actually ancient wisdom dictates that snow is not cold. But ancient wisdom does not exist anymore and was replaced by tiktok smooth brain aphorisms.

It's shit. It's all melting on Monday and I can't wait

>>25492398 That always sucks. I think one of the worst of Hell's torments would be for there to be a beautiful snow outside, but by the time you go out to frolic in it, the snow's already melted into mud.

>>25492398 >>25492341 I really like those videos of people walking on the "harder" compressed snow, I'm guessing it's not fresh snowfall and it has this nice crunchy sound.

It reflects light extremely well. Going outside during the day will near blind you for a few seconds and locations which have pitch black nights are surprisingly visible with the snow bouncing moonlight everywhere. When fresh it crunches when walked on, whilst getting into your shoes, after walked on a few times it compresses and becomes quasi ice. Despite what hollywood led you to believe snowballs rarely form easily—takes just the right kind of snow. Shoveling snow is awful. Snow plows leave mounds of various sizes all over the place, they're hard though so you don't get to dive into them like Scrouge McDuck diving into his money. These mounds get a dirty outer layer, near busy roads they'll often have a stripped black and white appearance as some of the dirtier outer layer melts and streaks down. Snow aside, it's depressing to see all the bare trees in winter. Best way I can describe the feeling is to find yourself somewhere you used to spend a lot of time with others and feeling the emptiness of the place with no one there. Snow and ice cause problems with trees as well, when it gets too cold too quickly the water in the trees expands and can break tree limbs and even the trunk itself. Icicles are cool, they can get huge. They can also kill you if a big enough one falls on you. When you're used to snow it's simply cold and wet. To the point where you have to have an entire wardrobe you only wear during the cold+wet time. As well as winter tires and big bags of salt being commonplace.

Snow feels like getting your dick sucked every second that you're outside. It's the best feeling in the world. Too bad you're missing out.

it's like a grainy (sand, grain, portato chips, cereal) material that can be compacted to stick together and cold~ish (you dress warmer when is snow, so you still feel warm when there's snow) and metly~ish the part hardest to describe is the compacting effect, that is hardly present in any warm materials if you compact it really hard, it would feel like ice, so in snowball fight you should not! compact too hard, hitting someone with a piece of ice is not much better than hitting them with a stone and never aim to the face when you walk on fresh, but not a very fluffy snow, it emits compaction sounds similar to loudly chewing on cereal when snow is really untouched and fresh (some wilderness), compaction under feet is more or less silent compacted snow under certain conditions can also emit creaking sounds, like creaky floor, mechanism is similar to creaky floor too artificial snow is very different from natural snow, so you will get the rough idea of what it is, if you go to some kind of ski resort, but it would be like... comparing wool to silk

>>25492339 There are 2 types of snow. Good snow and bad snow. Good snow is fresh snow and snow in relatively warm temperatures (between -8 and 0 degrees). It's fluffy, feels like crunchy cotton candy, great for chucking at your friends. Bad snow is rock solid snow that has been out for a while, common when it's extremely cold. it's slippery as fuck to walk on and annoying to shovel. You can't even make snowmen with it. It's still pleasant to look at.
