That is actually a good point. Children ensure an interest in the future and, if they are older, expose the politician to the daily life of a younger generation.

They all have to take into account inflated numbers on the greens and people shy to admit they will be voting AfD.
Left is official poll, right one is answers without any adjustments.
Before last election, answers for Greens were 21% (result 14,8%) and for the AfD 7% (result 10,3%).

A country of about 80 million people is about *much* more than who was knived by whom in the last couple of days. People die of all kinds of stuff (on about all of which politics has some influence), why go crazy about so few cases?
Btw I also think we shouldn't let in everyone and maybe even remove a few shitbirds from premises.

Anyone else rooting for AfD only because of Russia/Ukraine? I do not care about refugees/immigrants and such. I don't care if all shitskins leave or if Germany becomes majority shitskin. All I care about is that Germany will stop the globohomo from weaponizing the EU against Russia. Trump not helping Ukraine is good. But if AfD wins, they can block the EU from helping Ukraine too.

Stop shilling the german polls. They're highly manipulated.
The AfD had multiple big public wins, yet the polls don't reflect the AfD rising at all.
The only half-way reasonable poll was the american one from the democracy institute.

It's utterly retarded to believe the AfD could seriously below 25%.

Which win? At the last European Election in Germany (June 2024), they got not even 16%.

-The AfD has been succesfull (which only means 30%+) in the 5 east-German states. But those states combined have less population & seats than Northrhine-Westphalia.
-The core of the CDU's voter base - less urbanized catholic areas in western and southern Germany - has consistently voting for the main catholic party (Zentrum before 1933; CDU/CSU after 1945) for more than 150 years, and did so at the first German election in 1871, during the heigth of NSDAP in 1933, and at the low point of CDU at the 2021 election. How likely is it they will suddenly change this behavior?
-That "Democracy Institute" has zero tracking record regarding German elections. So why should their poll be so much superior to every German institute that has been doing polls for decades, and actually has a good tracking record, like Forschungsgruppe Wahlen?
-The median voter's age is far north of 50. 23,2% are over 70. [https://de.statista.com/statistik/daten/studie/1498/umfrage/altersstruktur-der-wahlberechtigten-bundestagswahl/] They do not get out in large cities on a saturday night. Often, their only contact with foreigners are the amazon delivery driver speaking broken German and their physicans assistent wearing a headscarve. They will continue voting SPD or CDU as loong as their pension is paid.
