I was planning to buy an 8TB+ external HDD for backups, but no good sales are going on. Last week there was one on sale for 150€ but now the cheapest ones are back to ~180€. Pretty much all the stores here do at least week long if not month long "Black Friday" sales so it's unlikely that new sales are coming this week. I'll just buy the HDD at the regular price if there are no sales.

Things that I was looking to potentially buy if prices were right: - all components for a pc. Prices were all too high though. No real deals, except maybe a 14600 that came with a 1TB nvme for $195. Motherboards are still too high. Video cards are retardedly overpriced. - roomba type vaccuum. No deals as well, I'll just pay full price eventually - x86 tablet. Once again, no deals worth it. Something like the minisforum v3 - More NAS storage, prices are shit -

>>24904287 For backups it doesn't matter much, the HDD will only be running when I'm bothered to make backups. I do have internal HDDs in my PC as well though, but I have switched them all to 5400rpm WD Reds because they are noticeably quieter than 7200rpm HDDs and quieter than a WD Green I used to have at some point. The spinning sound doesn't really bother me anyway, but frequent seeking noises can be annoying. SSD only storage would be nice, but it's still significantly more expensive than HDD storage and I'm not garch enough to use only SSDs.
