I have played for 27 hours: (For reference: I played Stalker 1 when it came out and every Stalker mod that came out in the meantime) The good: -massive world, really open for you to explore as you like without many borders that I discovered -stunningly beautiful, the storms are great, the camps are cozy, crazy anomalies -lots of little locations to explore, loot in all of them -economy is hard -Weapons, movement and handling everything feels "right" -only had 1 crash in 27h -I didnt have ANY perfomance issues at all, no stutter, no fuck ups nothing (many people do have them though) -Atmosphere 10/10 The bad: -A-Life is fucked up, as there is currently a bubble of ~100m around you where everything spawns in (randomly) -this often leads to squad spawning in your back into locations you just cleared -no NVG and no Binoculars -night/day cycle too short --> GSC delivered a great bone structure of a game but lacked to deliver some promised essentials due to time pressure I assume. Provided they patch all the bads away, this thing is a potential masterpiece. I remember when Stalker 1 came out the thing was bugged as fuck and would constantly crash on me.

You just walk around, explore ruins and anomalies, shoot stuff, do simple quests. There are no long boring dialogues, cutscenes or annoying characters. It's like Dark Souls shooter (remember to play on hardest difficulty) in a sense that it's just a pure gameplay. The pace is slow and that what sets the atmosphere together with the graphics. as a huge fan of stalker 1 and especially the GAMMA mod im very disappointed. A-life is missing and the Enemy AI is pretty damn bad. Like those mutated Pigs from the first game, they ran away in fear if you shot at them and only attack if they are pressured. in Stalker 2 they just straight up run at you and attack. also all mutants are huge bullet sponges. Like the bloodsucker needs 4 mags to kill. Also you find 3 assault rifles in the first 5 minutes of the game which feels just wrong, the Hobo phase at the beginning of stalker 1 was absolute classic. Now you find an Ak74 and even a goddamn HK416 right at the beginning, wtf. i also played only like the first 10 minutes but sadly there is so many stuff wrong already. The soundtracks cool tho, and the graphics too.
