This is a central issue. We often believe things will simply get better over time if we believe in it hard enough. "Someone up there will change things". But this never happens. Politicians do not care about the plight of the citizens. In Germany (and everywhere else) these people are completely detached from reality. They go to an italian restaurant or a Kebap Store once in a while,and proclaim: "See? These immigrants are fine, I don't see the problem". And so nothing ever changes. Also, a lot of german voters vote traditionally, when they voted for SPD or CDU for decades, its unlikely that they will change this. They will bitch and moan, but ultimately they will vote the same. And so the main economic engine of the EU will die over time. And ppl will not realize it until its too late.
