>>25506742 A plastic ear tab that broke off. Its an important point because it holds the bolt. Doesn't need to look good. I saw videos of the stapler heat gun but its literally only ans mms of contact area on the plastic.

>>25506754 SOrry I had to poop real quick. Also its dark and I didn't get a good picture but thats it basically. Gorilla tape to hold it in place and then glued, that a little piece of paper patch to soak and hold glue on top. I hope it works good. IDK how to weld plastic, or even that such small area. Was thinking about "sewing" with a guitar string if this doesn't hold.

>>25506734 It depents upon which plastic it is. You can make your own plastic glue by making a slurry from a solvent and the plastic that you want to glue together. If it's ABS, use acetone, because it's the easiest to get. If acetone does not work, the best thing that you can use would be Dichloromethane, if you can get it. Alternatively Ethyl Acetate might work - it smells yummy - or Methyl Ethyl Ketone, short MEK. In any case, take some of the same plastic that you want to weld, make a slurry, and use that like normal glue. Depending upon plastic it may also be possible to weld stuff together just with the solvend, it it's clean even faces. If that does not work, you could try welding it with heat - you'd need a piece of excess plastic though, or use something like epoxy glue. Or you 3d print a replacement-part, and be done with it.

>>25506820 >>25506821 Hm, I actually do still have some acetone i didn't know it would melt plastic I thought maybe make it soft. And I have PC-7 epoxy too. Idk red line is where the little piece snapped off fluch (on the other side the one with repair).

Styrofoam dissolved in acetone makes a plastic glue, so they say

Put a dusting of sodium bicarbonate (baking soda) on both the surfaces you want to glue together, then use super glue. It will hold very well.

Melt it with a soldering iron.

>Does bernd know how to weld plastic together? Depends on the kind of plastic. Some stuff can be welded together with certain chems. Others it's better to use heat. Still others can't at all And some can be welded with sound or some shit like that but nether you nor I have such equipment so forget about that. The main question is what exact kind of plastic are you working with?

Fuck trying to weld the plastic together. Use epoxy. If you can't figure out a good way of doing it with epoxy then replace the part with something made from moldable epoxy putty. The weld will forever be a weak point that will keep breaking. ANd thats even if you do it properly, which typically requires knowing what kind of plastic you are working with, which apparently you don't. So save yourself the time and just skip to epoxy. It's strong as your mom's bra during aerobics day. It will hold.

to fix car bumpers and stuff they use hot staples that melt into the body so you then cant paint over it

>>25509109 epoxy is the shit. Marine tex, fiberglass resin, a variety of two part epoxies are all your frens.
