I haven't been to McDonalds in a while, but today was a special day because I just found out that they're doing a promo for Pokemon. They're giving out special cards for each Happy Meal so come and join me as I show you how to order one in the USA.

Although Mcdonalds still has fat cashiers you could order from, there's no point at all in doing so with these machines now that let you do it yourself. Mcdonalds also has a rewards system now that gives you points that counts towards free food.

The prices kinda suck though, I still remember when double cheeseburgers were only 99 cents.

most people just collect the cards and don't even play the game itself. And all Mcdonalds places are also locations to catch rare virtual Pokemon in the Pokemon Go smartphone game.

Once you're done paying your order you are given a free cup to get as many drinks as you want. Unlimited, neverending softdrinks you can keep drinking until you get diabetes, one of the greatest things that foreigners will never understand about the USA.

Now the Happy Meal itself is only $6.59 though so at least it's not too expensive with what it comes with. This area is not a shithole too so within 5 minutes I already got my order.

The burger itself is ok enough, I customized my order in the kiosk to include mayo and pickles. But it still is kinda small compared to other places like In-n-out burger and there wasn't that much fries either.

And so ends the mini IWO. After eating I finally unpacked what I truly came for - the Pokemon cards themselves. It comes with a neat poster and sticker activity thingy for kids and a pack of 4 cards. From what I've read online you are going to have to go buy many times to complete this set, the cards I got are just common ones but the rare ones are Charizard, Roaring Moon and Pikachu so I will come back tomorrow when I'm hungry again. If you like Pokemon check it out, the cards are cool.

It's funny because someone posted a video of a woman "preparing" dinner for her kids, and it was basically unwrapping a mcdolans order. Some of it had Pokemon packaging and I thought it was strange to have food that is in some way related to Pokemon. Now I see people actually buy it because of that.

Good thread, I often see many manchild youtube channels dedicated to doing stuff like pokemon card collection and while I am against CONSOOMING, it seems kinda comfy in a way, can't describe it with words.
But racial destiny had me born in IRAN, where the only thing I will collect are bombs

Pokemon card collecting has become huge again and there's a global shortage, Americans are literally fighting each other for Pokemon cards right now. I am also in the process of making a longer IWO for the future documenting my struggles in this hobby. This is no joke at all, people will go crazy for these pieces of cardboard and I have to spend many hours camping out in stores just to get more cards.
