I have eaten canned tuna in the past but didn't like it, vomit inducing even. Then I learned that the different names of tuna has different flavor even though its "tuna". So I bought a can of yellowfin tuna and it may be the best tasting thing out of a can I ever ate. But then I read fish is polluted and I can only eat a 1 or 2 cans of this delicious fish a week, thats suffering.

>But then I read fish is polluted and I can only eat a 1 or 2 cans of this delicious fish a week, thats suffering. this is retarded boomerscience from the 1960s and it only exists in the modern day because every physician in the west is 90 years old and hasn't bothered to read a medical journal in the last 50 years, it's on the level of retarded geriatric bullshit like the food pyramid or dietary cholesterol in eggs leading to visceral cholesterol in the body (it fucking doesnt). fish accumulate some level of mercury in the ocean, which then binds to the selenium in their flesh, which enters the bloodstream when eaten. the perceived risk of this is that the mercury could remain in the human's body and cause mercury poisoning (which is primarily expressed by the mercury binding to selenium in the human body, and preventing it from being absorbed into the brain, causing a selenium deficiency). the problem with this theory is that 1. the mercury in the fish is already bound to the fish's selenium, and can't really be absorbed in the body in the first place, and you just piss almost all of it out. and 2. fish is insanely rich in dietary selenium in the first place, balancing out any selenium deficiency caused by mercury poisoning by a hundredfold. you can eat as much canned fish as you want, don't let any retarded boomer tell you otherwise

i was adding a can of tuna to my breakfast salad every day and it was absolutely delicious, heavenly. but then i had a bad food poisoning and was reading on various toxins, bacteria and stuff like that which can be present in food, and read about botulism and decided that eating canned products is too risky due to the risk of botulism so i stopped

-I disliked canned tuna enough that I hate smelling anything remotely like it, like those little cans of chicken. Would probably eat it now. -kippered herring was fine but it gave me the shits once so haven't tried since -those big red cans of salmon are nice, I eat it with butter, but not around people because the bone chunks gross people out -pretty much every fresh saltwater fish I've had I liked Is it just me, or does fish ofteb leave you unsatiated, like it's missing something?
