Miso soup unironically tastes like puke. Some sushi is good (basically the one with fresh fish salmon and tuna and cucumber only, not american "sushi" with sauces, philadelphia, and other crap) but 90% of the taste comes from the soy sauce which is unhealthy as fuck, wasabi, and vinegar in the rice. Mochi is tasty but another unhealthy confection. Ramen, well depends what "ramen". Though in my experience even the real stuff also tastes like puke.

Japan food is dog shit. THe only worst asian food is korean which is inedible slop. Chinese food and SEA is way better. Even indian food is better. Japanese food is total disgusting garabage.

Never have I eaten better than in Japan. Not in Italy, not in France.. the other countries don't even count. USA had the ultimate dog shit food. Golden curry is awesome. Miso soup and Mochi taste like ass. Just a matter of taste. Yakitori, with liver, Kobe steak, Tonkatsu is awesome.

Sure, our food is good but "traditional" French food is just as good as other European countries, we make lots of soup, stews and a few veggie dishes, it's nothing amazing. You probably eat better in Romania since you can get a proper meal for a reasonable price, here a basic good meal would cost you 20+ euros. People rave about French cuisine because of high-level French chefs, but they don't typically make traditional "French" food, they instead make creative, unique dishes that at most are inspired by French cuisine.

Japanese food is mid and bland. If you were to look at a subset of Chinese food adapted for the Japanese palette, it is bland, zero piquancy (spicyness), and filled with meat filler (meat paste shaped into balls). Japanese are great cooks however. I don't doubt their technique.
