I was thinking along those lines.
When they say a person below a certain age "can't consent", what they're really saying is
the state doesn't consent to the relationship. The idea that children "can't consent" is easily disproven by the different approach people have when it's kids having sex with other kids. Suddenly, they're not helpless, they have self-agency when they are within a certain age range of each other. So, when you raise this contradiction with antis, they then move the goalpost and talk about the power imbalance of an age gap, and other things that have nothing to do with the minor's ability to say yes or no that they want to participate in a basic biological function. I would have more respect for antis if they were just truthful and said they don't want adults having relations with minors because they are morally opposed to it, rather than doing the consent dance.
