All range of new Nvidia cards now found having some cases of missing ROPS. Basically you can buy a new videocard and its for example in 507ti case 8.3% slower than advertised or tested by reviewers who got cards without missing ROPS. 0.5% of all cards confirmed by nvidia to have that. Is quite funny because you buy a card that is 5% faster than previous generation and in the end get slower one.

Nvidia also keeps fucking up with the cable redesign and power distribution. In 5090 cars you can have issues where the card decides to draw 10 AMPs trouhg single or two wires instead of the ~7 it has. so they melt up till PSU blows Why the fuck redesign a proper connector with fat wires? that was fine for 20 years already

2023 was the last good year to buy a new card. If you Wait™ed too long, you'll have to put up with your shitcard for several more years probably if you can't get lucky on the secondhand market. Nvidia GPUs below the 4090 showed pretty shit gains on the 3k series that simply weren't worth the price. AMD cards can't into raytracing nor have good interpolated frame software, but still showed good fps/moneyspent ratios compared to Nvidia for their 7k series. Back to the only good value Nvidia offered, 4090s are no longer being produced and 5090s are $2k base price with a significant price increase for an AIB. You could probably still buy a used Vega 64 or Nvidia 2k series for £100 with the added risk that these cards may well be junk after having been slaving away down in the crypto-mines for 10 years. Those cards will do you fine for 60Hz 1080p Medium-High settings even with today's games. Wait™ers got cucked by AI shareholders and a hopeless AMD.
