>research output
Who cares, most of it is useless trash and they are more humans so that equals more output. I have to read a lot of papers at work and I wouldnt say that chinese papers (or thesis) are significantly better than for example South American or Baltics. Only research worse than that is Arabs, Africans and Pajeets.

He's not wrong gay guy. The vast majority of actual scientific production and innovation comes from America. All the companies are here and China is full of paper mills. Any company they have is built off stolen IP from America. Academic science is a pyramid scheme anyway built on junk science. Real innovation comes from private business.

I don't remember any actual chinese inventions other than LiFePO4 batteries and even that was made by chinks in MIT rather than some fake university or research institute.

I want to add though, that some of the best papers do come from china but their ratio of useless to useful is brutal. The best papers I read recently were all chinese

China should have the most everything considering they have a high population and now high development. Research paper and patent volume along with academic olympiad victories are all bullshit though

that's projection, you've never read Chinese papers, and the incentives for a papermill in the west are not the same as in China .

Ivy League institutions don't make technology a huge part of their schooling, and those academic institutions installed a hard cap on the amount of Asian students they admit. Harvard, Yale, Princeton are just filled with uber-wealthy folks from Latin America, Africa, Jews, and Legacy admits.
MIT can only do so much.

Yes the striver society obsessed with status with an entirely government/military funded university system which has to "compete" with America doesn't have the incentives to pump out papers.
