I wish I knew about that when I was 18, people with malandragem joined the army to get a wage to essentially be a neet in the barracks and then used their free time to study to become public servants

The idea of keeping your rank is dumb, too. You don't get a rank because "you have earned it" by going through any irrelevant sufferings. You get it because you have acquired the relevant knowledge and abilities. But the police seems to be a shitshow anyway on the poccnr.
