"This decision will tentatively begin this week and continue until May, with everything based on supporting capacity. Normal operations will resume when supporting capacity is fully restored! Thank you for your understanding, and we hope everyone can work together to overcome this difficulty.” This is a notice issued yesterday by Zuxing Company in Chongqing City. The third notice says: “Due to a significant increase in U.S. tariffs, as high as 67%, our factory has discussed and tentatively decided to arrange a one-week holiday for the entire factory (April 4 to April 10). Further arrangements will be made if there are changes. I made a simple celery soup today, which I had been oddly craving. A whole pack of celery, a couple of potatoes, a couple of red onions, all sweated together in a couple of tablespoons of olive oil. Seasoned with garlic, salt, pepper, and chicken stock. Then blended towards the end to a soupy texture, then I added about half a cup of cream and a tablespoon of butter. It tasted great, I didn't have celery salt to intensify the celery flavour even moreso and I think celery is probably out of season right now so its going to taste weak.
